The time has come!

I'm unable to express all my excitement through words, so maybe an image should suffice:

So I've just recieved the fifth CD, and now that I have the full collection, I'll try submitting all the seals for the bonus CD... through shopping service! It's probably going to be a long while until I get to hear the OjiRaji extra, and I truly hope it's worth all the trouble.

Oh yeah, Seifuku no Ojisama staff have announced Sugimoto will have his own CD released too, but it does not have an exact release date yet, they just mentioned it should be around the end of 2014. I wonder if they'll release more seals for another trade-in (a full second roster of characters)...

Seifuku no Ojisama - subcharacter goodness

So, during Sugimoto's route..... Dear God, I shouldn't call him by the family name anymore, to prevent confusion with this dashingly amazing guy!

Introduced during Satoshi Sugimoto's route, "Here comes a new challenger!" - Takahisa Sugimoto, his nephew, a new professor where the protagonist actually has her classes with "the other Sugimoto".

Seriously, Poppy Seed, stop teasing me and please take my money. I swear if Takahisa gets a route of his own, he's actually going to be the first character I'll attempt having a full gallery, including cash CGs.
I still can't believe they just nailed a truckload of my most appealing traits in a single character: dark hair, hair length by the shoulder line, good-looking fringes, stub, smiling face, brown eyes, small traces under the eyes, tie, wears blue, professor... damn, I can't even count all of the features with my both hands, not even Tachihara - who's my personal favorite among the cuttently captureable characters - have scored all that.

Now all that's left is they actually getting my favorite seiyuu for him, then I'll be done forever.

Happy Birthday, hakase~ (2014 ver.)

Kenzo Tenma, my beloved hasubando, has turned 56 today! In the same fashion as last year, here's a delicious cake for him~ <3

I baked a cupcake earlier today... but by the time it was ready to eat, I ate it without mercy, and forgot to take a picture *kills self*
So this year I have offered him a bought cake instead, however, my love for him is still the same every single day, if not an overgrowing love, ever since I realized I had fell for him years ago!

Today I want to know, fellow otome readers - do you also share such a feel with a hasubando of your own?

Double Score Cattleya X Narcissus released!

The beast has been unleashed... the second beast in the series anyway XD
This time, the target characters are two hosts and one librarian. For this reason, the game rings me back to Last Escort a little too much - it's maybe my favorite otome game (series) from the PS2, because I love hosts' sharp clothing and all the sweet talk.
I must say I really liked the new opening theme's vibe! Although being the exact same song as the first title, it have a new arrangement and the lyrics are changed in certain parts, like when they call their birthflowers' names - kinda curious to listen to the full song and see if the second part has changed lyrics as well.

Anyway, the official website have been posting a daily countdown to the game, featuring seiyuu from the main characters Rio (Toru Okawa, who got me charmed by his role in Shiki), Rui and Seiya (both by Daisuke Hirakawa, which has recently been captivating me through his character in Free). I have managed to save them all and did an upload out there - if you missed the countdown, enjoy listening to them now!

Jeez, it's too bad my copy will still take some time to make the trip all the way to my headquarters... I want to play this so hard, but I haven't even finished the first Double Score, silly me liking the seiyuu in this one better than the first one... (_´v`);;

Shopping service review - Yokatta

Today for something different than a game review, and also different from an anime episode review - this is a service review!

First and foremost, even trying to be impartial here, this is a "venting-off post". I have extracted one tooth two days ago and it still hurts, while afterwards finding out one of the shipments from Yokatta came heavily damaged, I just have to put this through a post now, so excuse for the rageposting.

Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love 2000% - Op.1 and Op.2 first impressions

Animation studio A-1 Pictures and sound studio Elements Garden have done it again - they have unleashed a weapon even more powerful than the first ending sequence: the second ending sequence. Starish is very... very powerful, I mean really, after an otome has been exposed to it for the first time, it cannot be unseen and unheard anymore, and not a single otome's ovaries will be left unexploded. There is no turning back now...

Uta no Prince-sama All Star released~

Today, the beast has been unleashed!
Although it's still the 6th, those who had preordered should be getting shipping notices today already.
The UtaPuri official website is having some major issues right now as we speak, I hope it comes back in shape soon though.

I am really dying to play this. Also am hoping it doesn't turn like Debut and actually has some plot depth, or at least a few interesting turnabouts.
As always, the anime's second season is prone to have "Mamoru-drama-king" making me cry be crap in terms of plot, but at least it's supposed to be very lively (really looking forward the new OP sequence).

Still Still Still, I want to play it so hard... when I get it available, I'll probably try to master at least through Hard Lv2 in a single sitting, oh stubborness, can't help it XD

Double Score Cosmos X Camellia demo first impressions

HIGH RESOLUTION GRAPHICS!! I think I only play old PC VNs nowdays...

Characters on screen (the regular waist-up images, not CG like this) are kind of animated - I mean, you can see it is just images being flipped through, but there are just too many face variations you almost feel like they are naturally reacting to your responses. I like this a lot and it shows the developers' effort in bringing a lively mood, it really makes it worth to buy the game to have the "full experience" (since, in the previously released drama CDs, you only had sound after all, so you could only wonder what kind of faces the characters did).

Of course, seiyuu are the same from the previous drama CDs as well - it feels great for those who did listen to their situations before.

Oh yeah, overall menu presentation could be better, but it's simple and functional, so it's not a downside.

Go get the trial at their website~

Fiddling with SeiOji files #2

Oh look at what I have managed to achieve~

By the way, these are not photoedits, but actual phone screenshots running the game - I just found out the scripts are editable without damaging the game data, thus translating the game is possible, though considering some limitations, like the window for the character names (and dialogue) being a fixed size, making the text flow out like that, but the game runs just fine without lockups =D

I am currently translating the prologue, but I'd like suggestions on which route to translate first.

Ossan ~A tale of ageless love~

The day I write a Visual Novel, this could pretty well be the title of it. For now, it is just the title of an elaborate entry.

おっさん [ossan]
Rude term for middle-aged man

It looks like it's been ages already: The time I began playing otome games.
I would look everywhere for strategy guides and reviews, and inevitably so, the one who looks too far into something often finds some unwanted things along the way. It was like a trend among all the places I looked up - between all the reviews and different sources, every single one of them did NOT appreciate ossan characters in an otome game.

Last month, the day I came by the idea to create this blog, I had read a review with such an opinion.
Also last night, once again. Different review, same opinion.

And so this post was born.
It is but an opinion, like various out there.
Like how hard it is to spill out the words for confessing an unrequited love.

Once upon a time...

Happy Birthday, hakase~

Kenzo Tenma, my beloved hasubando, has turned 55 today - and may I add, he's such a fine ossan <3
Although he was kinda depressed because he's always being chased by the police, I tried my best to prepare a good-tasting cake though ^^;;

Eternal Sonata in a nutshell

I have just finished Eternal Sonata this afternoon.

It is truly a masterpiece, having now outshined Final Fantasy Tactics as my #1 RPG.
Please, Chopin-san, play Fantasie Impromptu for my listening pleasure~
I have bought this game used from an ebay seller, and I am unable to thank the seller enough to make me able to play this game within my lifespan (and such a preserved copy it is).

Since November 8th, I had over 50 hours of fun playing this RPG, and through it I came to learn more about the life of the one who maybe is my favourite classical composer of all time - Frederic Chopin.

I do not plan on sharing spoilers about the game's ending, but I just wanted to share my every feel on it - the strong ones who have already passed through that ending will know for sure...

The real reason why the world hasn't ended on the 21st

...is because there is way too many awesome shit scheduled for release.

This post shall also be known as OtoOto's hype masterlist.
Although being a huge moviefag, this post will not include movie releases because the release dates shifts all the time in my country.
Also, warning for long post being long.

To begin with, there is a few games which I do have a banner at the sidebar, but there is also some which do not have banners in their websites (and others that doesn't even have a website up yet).
So, in somewhat of a chronological order, seee-no!
