Fiddling with SeiOji files #2

Oh look at what I have managed to achieve~

By the way, these are not photoedits, but actual phone screenshots running the game - I just found out the scripts are editable without damaging the game data, thus translating the game is possible, though considering some limitations, like the window for the character names (and dialogue) being a fixed size, making the text flow out like that, but the game runs just fine without lockups =D

I am currently translating the prologue, but I'd like suggestions on which route to translate first.

Useful Data

  2. I know this game since it was not even release and when I got a smart phone which is several days ago I was very happy I can finally play it.

    I'm not very good at Japanese so I didn't really understand what's going on in the game ha ha.

    I'm currently on Matsumoto-san route but I suggest you should translate the one you like most first. I wanted to know your opinion about other ojisan too. :)

    By the way, I check on the event today and it was James-san event. I was like, oh my god! That blond hair blue eyes ojisan!

    Anyway, thanks for the system guide it was very helpful!

    1. My Japanese is somehow weak, but I do my best to try learning something new by playing these kind of games. Even if I do understand most of what's being spoken, I can't read kanji, so I was translating by using the aid of various online tools + a physical dict. It's turning out good enough so we can get the whole idea behind it though.

      By now, I have played all the three first character's routes, and I am at the beginning of Saeki's chapter 5.
      As for my opinion, well, been enjoying all I've seen from this game so far, I have a hard time chosing a favorite, but Matsumoto-sensei really does hit me a weak spot with that characteristic white longcoat ^^;;

      I can't wait for James' route~ XD

  3. Translate ALL THE THINGS. D8
    And then give. Please. I love you. Heck, even the prologue and one route would be more than enough and GLORIOUS.

    1. Haha, I am struggling for it, but my job is killing me lately and I motly spend free time playing instead of translating the damn thing XD

    2. Hm. I tried to send this as a question, but I doubt it went through.

      Could you please tell me how you found the files? I can't find where the new content downloads to in each chapter, all I see is the 'common' pictures and music. No in-story music for me. *cries*

      And is the Japanese text there and copyable within the script, so I can maybe try to run it through a translator and see how well I can estimate what's happening?

    3. Is it possible the files are downloaded in a different format depending on which device?
      I am kind of afraid of giving too much info on the files because the devs could potentially change the file structure... it might be a silly motive now that I think about it ^^;;

      I will look into the asking form issue and try to find another way of recieving visitor messages in private ~_~"'

    4. It might be possible, but since I don't know which format you found them in, I can't say. ^^;
      Ah, I'm sorry, I shouldn't ask too much detail then. Can you just tell me where they're stored on your device?

    5. Well I use a Sony Xperia U model - mine's located right in the root, under a folder named "jp.madbox.s_ojisama1".

  5. Oo, this is cool! If you can translate everything it would be amazing.

    I suggest the doctor. He looks fun.
