My Sweet Bodyguard - Casino Royale event #3

Were the bugs really sorted out...?

After the real mess following the event's grand opening, I have started doing the character routes available.

The main premise is that the Prime Minister (the good for nothing protagonist's father) has some affairs within the USA (randomly curious note: My Sweet Bodyguard's common route stories takes place in Japan) and he kinda invites you (and every bodyguard, including Goto, who haven't a route in this event) to come along. From there on, you pass through assorted dangerous situations together with the bodyguard of choice.

Without further delay, here's a sort of abridged review for Daichi and Subaru's routes...

Daichi Katsuragi - "The princess and the butler"

You had to take a flight separated from the Prime Minister and the other bodyguards, arriving Las Vegas sooner than everyone else, thus having trouble contacting the person your incompetent father had suggested - when you get to said man's house, there's no one in, and a neighbor mentions he spends a lot of time at the nearby casino.

Getting there, you find the man, who quickly and unreluctantly gives you the key to his house and then procceeds to keep gambling at the tables. Since you've come all the way to the casino, you decide to try having some fun there, sitting at the slot machines because they look like an easy game - while you do not appear to have luck in it, when Daichi tries, his absolute reflexes nets you a 777 (even Daichi is in awe there).

You then wants to treat Daichi some kind of compensation, since he won the big prize but refuses to have the money for himself because he's there on duty. You decide to attend to the costume party being held, and you buy costumes for both of you as "princess" and "butler". After you two change and meet each other, Daichi who surprisingly didn't look good IMHO, comments on how your costume is too revealing, and conveniently placed a scarf in your back.

Sweet talk never fails

At the party, Daichi talks in English with some famous movie stars, and they comment things like "Are you her boyfriend?" and "It's written all over your face: you're in love with her!" - while you wonder what they could be talking about, Daichi tries hard not to over-react.

Still at the party, however, you are being incessantly stalked by some random guy, who later reveals to be some mafia member who felt jealous of seeing you by Daichi's side all the time, so he decided to try kidnapping you to be his waifu. But of course, by the time shit got serious, all the bodyguards had came for Daichi's call, cornering and arresting the bad guys after gunshots have been fired all over the place.

End of story: Daichi calms you down after all the panic, reassuring you he's just the right man to stay by your side and protect you from any danger.

Subaru Ichiyanagi - "Unlucky day"

When you and everyone else gets to Las Vegas, you net some nice presents - a hairpin and a pair of tickets to a luxury cruise - the bodyguards immediately begin fencing off for the spare ticket, but of course you decide you are going with Subaru.

At the cruise, Subaru was too gentlemanly-dressed for my body to resist had noticed you glaring at him, blushing, and immediately began teasing you, which was his common procedure for the whole trip ahead. As he wore a way too formal set, you thought it would be a good idea to wear accordingly, and so you chose this nice pink dress, because your evil friend had told you your lucky color for the trip's week would be pink... this actually turns out to be quite the opposite.

During the night, you try a fuckin' lot of games, and you lose in ALL of them. While you're sucking at the roulette, however, a mysterious man tells you to play a certain number, and as you do so, you win.

Later on, when you decide to stop gambling to avoid losing any more money, you and Subaru go watch a magician show. To the couple's surprise, the magician is the same guy who told you the roulette's next winning number. The man invites you and Subaru to the stage, leaving you both out of words at his impressive tricks.

Soon after though, the fun is over when the ship is supposedly under attack, and everyone in there begins to panic. While you're evading, you notice you have lost your precious hairpin, and you decide going back to look for it - while Subaru argues, of course he goes with you.

You then overhear people talking calmly inside a reserved room, and when you enter, you find not only the culprits, but also the suspicious magician, who's also a villain. They bind both of you and tell you there are three bombs at the ship and you're gonna die in half an hour, when the third bomb explodes.

Being at verge of death, indeed,
is the most dangerous moment

You're left alone with Subaru, who then proceeds to swiftly release from the cuffs and try to find an escape route, without success though, since the terrorists have locked the room when they took their leave.

After the first two bombs have already exploded and the ship had already began sinking, you manage to find the third bomb in the room you're in. Subaru remarks he once took bomb-defusing training, but this was his first time with the real deal. When he gets to the core, there are two wires likely to deactivate it: a light-blue wire and a pink wire, and Subaru asks you which wire he should cut... of course you say to cut the pink wire, once again, because all that fortune shit.

End of story: It is later revealed that Subaru had cut the light-blue wire instead - even if you thought it had brought you bad luck, since pink was said to be your lucky color, Subaru just knew the pink wire would warrant your safety while being intact.
